Equal Partnership between Men and Women in Families

Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture oftheir children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners.

Lesson learned from my Marriage

For many years, I operated under the assumption that my full-time work and time-consuming church callings exempted me from household chores. I felt entitled to more rest, often complaining that my wife, who had more free time, didn't contribute enough to keeping our home in order. I realize how mistaken I was. I failed to see that maintaining a home is a shared responsibility. It took some time, but I eventually understood that supporting each other in household duties is crucial for a harmonious home. As we began to work together as a team, we faced challenges and had to make compromises. Family councils played a significant role in this process. They provided a platform for us to recognize and appreciate each other's efforts, plan for the week ahead, and offer constructive feedback. Through these councils, we learned to communicate effectively, set goals together, and strengthen our partnership. Our home became a more peaceful and organized space, reflecting our shared commitment to each other and our family.
